Description
The XLT Series (Xtreme Long-Travel) Suspension Kit will turn any 96-04 Toyota Tacoma or 96-02 4Runner front suspension into a serious whoop-eater.
Fully-functional and reliable 17″ to 18″ of 4WD travel, combined with an increased track width of 4 1/2″ per side will soak up large hits and increase stability & control.
The Upper Control Arms use 7/8th Heim joints, this allows for infinite camber adjustment. The Spindles are fully fabricated and use vertical 1″ uniballs to help correct bind at full droop. The Lower Control Arms have 1″ uniball cups welded in to replace the use of a factory lower ball joint.
The Race Series Suspension Kit is 4 1/2″ over stock and with all the required components will achieve up to 19″ of 4WD travel on 35″ tires. The 3/4″ heim inner steering upgrade with machined clevis will help correct for Bump steer.
We recommend using a 2.5″ x 10″ Coilover Shocks, and 2.5″ x 10″ 3 tube Bypass Shock (with Weld-on Rod Ends) . A 3.0″ x 10″ Bypass shock (with Weld-on Rod Ends) can be used as well.
This kit does require a custom shock tower to be built to run the 10″ Coilover Shocks.
The Toyota Tacoma shown above is utilizing a 2.5″ x 10″ King coil over and 2.5″ x 10″ 3 Tube King bypass shocks with TIG welded uniball rod ends to clear the A/C and brake booster.
