Description
Get the Steering Travel Your Toyota Suspension Needs
Increasing suspension travel is only useful if the steering system can move through that same range without becoming the limiting factor.
Our Toyota Heim & Clevis Steering Upgrade replaces the factory inner and outer tie-rod joint arrangement with a high-misalignment heim-joint steering system designed for Solo Motorsports Mid-Travel and XLT suspension systems.
The clevis design allows the inner steering joint to articulate through increased suspension droop, making this upgrade a requirement for achieving maximum suspension travel with our Toyota XLT kits.
Built for Mid-Travel and Long-Travel Suspension
At the steering rack, custom-machined bolts secure 17-4 stainless steel clevises to the factory rack and pinion. FK 3/4″ inner heim joints connect the clevises to the tie rods using 1/2″ Grade 8 hardware.
At the spindle, FK 7/8″ outer heim joints use 5/8″ Grade 8 hardware to create a strong, serviceable steering connection capable of working through increased suspension travel.
Tie-rod lengths are available for stock-width, 2″-over, 3.5″-over, and 4.5″-over suspension systems, allowing the steering to be configured around your specific Solo Motorsports suspension setup.
Stock Toyota spindles require our Double-Shear Steering Upgrade for the 5/8″ outer steering bolt.
Available for select Tacoma, 4Runner, Tundra, Sequoia, FJ Cruiser, and Lexus GX applications.
Not compatible with All-Wheel-Drive applications.

Stock Spindle Applications
