Why Upgrade to a 1st Gen Tundra Long Travel Kit?
The factory Tundra suspension was designed around everyday driving, not the wheel travel and control needed for aggressive off-road use. We developed our 1st Gen Tundra Long Travel Kit to dramatically increase usable suspension travel, improve stability, and give the front suspension the strength needed for harder off-road driving.
Designed for the 2000–2006 Toyota Tundra, this system increases front track width by 3.5 inches per side. The 2WD configuration provides up to 14 inches of wheel travel, while the 4WD configuration provides approximately 12.5 inches of wheel travel.
The kit combines tubular upper control arms with 3/4-inch FK heim pivots and 1-inch FK uniballs with fully boxed lower control arms using polyurethane inner pivots. The adjustable heim-joint upper control arms provide additional alignment adjustment, which can be especially useful on older trucks with fatigued or imperfect frames.
Extended steering components, stainless steel brake lines, limit straps, and upper coil bucket adapters are included to support the increased suspension travel. The 4WD kit also includes extended axle shafts designed around the factory Toyota ADD hub configuration.
Whether you’re building a capable desert truck, prerunner, or recreational off-road Tundra, this long travel system provides a major increase in suspension performance while retaining 2WD or 4WD capability.
