Toyota UCA Double-Shear Reinforcement Kit
The Solo Motorsports Toyota Upper Control Arm Double-Shear Reinforcement Kit is designed to reinforce the factory coil bucket and provide additional support for the long upper control arm mounting bolt.
When upgrading a Toyota with aftermarket upper control arms, especially for long-travel and hard off-road use, we don’t like relying solely on the factory sheet metal to support the UCA mounting point. Our weld-on reinforcement plates strengthen this area and create a more robust double-shear mounting structure around the upper control arm bolt.
Why We Made It Trim-to-Fit
Not every Toyota coil bucket is exactly where it was when the truck left the factory.
Years of off-road use, hard impacts, previous repairs, or accidents can leave the factory coil buckets slightly out of alignment. Instead of making the reinforcement plates a rigid one-piece assembly that assumes every truck is perfectly straight, we designed the kit as separate weld-it-yourself plates.
The plates are intentionally made slightly oversized so the installer can trim and position each plate to fit the individual vehicle. This allows the UCA bolt to be properly aligned before the reinforcement plates are welded into place.
Each plate is CNC laser cut from 10-gauge U.S. steel, with the front plates featuring the Solo Motorsports logo.
The kit works with aftermarket upper control arms and is highly recommended for long-travel suspension systems and vehicles that see aggressive off-road use.

Important Notes
Professional welding and fabrication experience are recommended for installation.
The plates are intentionally supplied as separate pieces and may require trimming during installation. This allows the installer to properly align the reinforcement around the existing upper control arm mounting location before final welding.
Always verify upper control arm bolt alignment and suspension clearance before final welding.
