Description

Solo Motorsports Mid-Travel Kit for the 1996-2004 Toyota Tacoma and 1996-2002 4runner is a great way to improve your off-road experience. When lifting your Tacoma or 4runner, the Upper Control Arms are the limiting factor to the truck’s front suspension. The UCAs are MIG welded using .120 wall DOM tubing. We replace the upper ball joint with a 1″ uniball. Our Mid-Travel Kit gains 1″-3″ of lift, and will allow for a tire size up to 33″. Adding our Stock Length LCA will allow up to a 35″ tire with some trimming.

Our Toyota W-I-Y UCA Double Shears are not included but highly recommended in order to keep the cross shaft bolt from bending during hard driving.

The 1″ Lower Uniball Conversion with 7/8″ Heim Steering Upgrade is recommend with our Full Fabricated Spindles.

Torque Specs

  • Lower Uniball Conv. to Lower Control Arm (3/4" Stainless Steel Bolt): 120 ft-lbs Anti-Seize all Surfaces.
  • Upper Control Arm to Spindle (5/8" x 5" Grade 8 Bolt) (Short Misalign. spacer on top, Tall Misalign. Spacer on bottom): 100 ft-lbs Anit-Seize Threads and Shank of Bolt, as well as Anit-Seize Stainless Misalign Spacers.
  • Uniball Conv. to Spindle (2WD): 1/2" Bolts 50 ft-lbs, 3/8" Bolts 30 ft-lbs Anit-Seize Threads
  • Uniball Conv. to Spindle (4WD): 1/2" Bolts 50 ft-lbs use Red Loctite, 3/8" Bolts 30 ft-lbs Anit-Seize Threads
  • Clevis Bolt to Rack and Pinion: 50 ft-lbs with Red Loctite.
  • Heim to Clevis Bolt (Double Head Allen Bolt): 25 ft-lbs Anti-Seize the Shank, and Blue Loctite on threads.
  • Steering Tie Rod to Spindle (5/8" x 4" Grade 8 Bolt): 100 ft-lbs Anit-Seize Threads and Shank of bolt. Also Anti-Seize the Stainless Steel Misalignment Spacers going into the Heim Joint.
  • Upper Control Arm Cross Bolt (long bolt through the coil bucket): 85 ft-lbs use Blue Loctite on Threads and Anti-Seize the Shank of the bolt.
