Description

Why Upgrade Your 1st Gen Sequoia Lower Control Arms?

The factory lower control arms work well for a stock Sequoia, but larger tires, off-road use, and upgraded suspension can expose their limitations. We designed our 1st Gen Sequoia Lower Control Arms to provide a stronger fabricated replacement while maintaining the factory track width.

Designed for the 2000–2007 Toyota Sequoia 2WD and 4WD, these lower control arms remain stock length while moving the lower ball joint 1 inch forward. This provides additional tire clearance and approximately 2–3 degrees of additional caster, helping improve alignment geometry on lifted and modified Sequoias.

Each control arm is constructed from 3/16-inch steel using CNC laser-cut and CNC-bent components. Interlocking internal ribs reinforce the fully boxed design for increased strength in demanding off-road applications.

An integrated strike pad is built into each arm for Sequoias running hydraulic bump stops. Factory sway-bar mounting locations are also retained, allowing the arms to work with the factory sway bar.

These arms are a great foundation for daily-driven Sequoias, mid-travel suspension setups, and off-road builds where additional strength and tire clearance are needed without increasing track width.

We recommend 33-inch tires for most applications. 35-inch tires can be used with additional vehicle modifications.

Made in the USA and finished in satin black powder coat.

Lower Ball Joint Fitment

Toyota changed the lower ball joint and spindle design during the 2003 production year. Because of this mid-year change, do not determine your lower control arm configuration by model year alone.

Small Lower Ball Joint

  • Early-production Tundra and Sequoia
  • Typically found on vehicles produced before September 2003
  • Uses the early-style “V” shaped bolt pattern

Big Lower Ball Joint

  • Late-production Tundra and Sequoia
  • Typically found on vehicles produced September 2003 and later
  • Uses the later rectangular bolt pattern

Important: Some 2003 vehicles may have either configuration depending on production date. Older vehicles may also have had spindles or lower ball joints replaced or converted during previous repairs.

Always verify the lower ball joint bolt pattern on your vehicle before ordering. If you are unsure which version you have, contact Solo Motorsports before placing your order.
