Reinforce the Bronco Upper Control Arm Mount
The Ford Bronco uses a long bolt to mount the upper control arms through the factory coil buckets. Under repeated hard off-road use, that long unsupported span can place additional load on the bolt and eventually cause it to bend.
A bent UCA bolt isn’t just a strength issue—it can also become extremely difficult and time-consuming to remove when it’s time to service or replace the upper control arms.
That’s why we developed our Ford Bronco UCA Double-Shear Kit.
Our Weld-It-Yourself plate kit adds additional support to the upper control arm mounting bolt, creating a double-shear mounting configuration while also reinforcing the factory coil buckets.
Works with Aftermarket Upper Control Arms
We designed this kit so you’re not locked into one specific upper control arm.
The double-shear plates work with any aftermarket upper control arm setup that retains the factory UCA mounting location, making this a worthwhile reinforcement whether you’re running Solo Motorsports suspension or another aftermarket UCA.
Each plate is CNC cut from 10-gauge steel and supplied as a Weld-It-Yourself kit. Proper positioning and welding are required during installation.
For Broncos running our Solo Motorsports Mid-Travel Suspension Kit, the UCA Double-Shear Kit provides additional support at the factory upper control arm mounting point for hard off-road use.
