The Original Ford Push Button 4WD & Wait to Start Dash Repair Bracket
After decades of use, the plastic mounting tabs behind the dash bezel on OBS Ford trucks can become brittle and break. Once these mounting points fail, the factory Push Button 4WD switch or diesel Wait to Start indicator can fall behind the dash, become loose, or no longer sit correctly in the bezel.
Solo Motorsports designed and introduced the original Ford Push Button 4WD & Wait to Start Dash Repair Bracket as a purpose-built solution for this common problem.
Our repair bracket creates a new steel mounting point behind the factory dash bezel. As a result, you can retain the original bezel and securely remount the factory component instead of replacing the entire assembly.
The bracket works with two common factory configurations:
- Push Button 4WD – Repairs the broken mounting location for the factory Push Button 4WD switch.
- Diesel Wait to Start – Repairs the broken mounting location for the factory Wait to Start indicator.
Each bracket is CNC laser cut and bent from 16-gauge steel for a precise fit. In addition, we zinc coat the steel for corrosion protection and long-term durability.
The bracket utilizes the existing factory dash mounting locations to properly position the switch or indicator. Because of this design, installation requires no welding. Only one factory hole needs to be drilled out before securing the bracket with the supplied hardware.
Most importantly, you can repair the failed mounting points without replacing an otherwise usable factory dash bezel.

Installation
- Remove the factory dash bezel and locate the Push Button 4WD switch or Wait to Start indicator.
- Align the repair bracket with the factory mounting holes.
- Drill out the bottom-right factory hole to mount the repair bracket.
- Secure the new steel repair bracket to the dash.
- Mount the existing Push Button 4WD switch or Wait to Start indicator to the new bracket using the supplied hardware.
