The Original Ford Door Handle Repair Plate
Repeated use of the factory door handle can eventually crack or tear the sheet metal around the mounting area on older Ford Bronco and F-Series doors. Once the metal begins to fail, simply replacing or tightening the door handle will not properly repair the problem.
Solo Motorsports designed and introduced the original Ford Door Handle Repair Plate as a purpose-built solution for this common failure.
Our repair plate reinforces the damaged area of the door with a 14-gauge stamped steel plate, spreading the load across a larger section of the door instead of relying on the weakened factory sheet metal.
The plate is zinc plated for corrosion protection and installs using rivets, allowing the damaged door to be reinforced without welding. It can be used to repair an already cracked door or reinforce the mounting area before more serious damage occurs.
Designed for 1980–1996 Ford Bronco and 1980–1997 Ford F-Series trucks, with applications for the front doors as well as rear doors on Crew Cab models.
