Description
Replace Your Missing Bronco Tailgate Cover
The factory access panel on a Ford Bronco tailgate can become damaged, bent, or go missing after decades of use. Even when the original panel is still there, the factory tailgate doesn’t provide the best flat surface for setting down tools, parts, or gear.
Our 1980–1996 Ford Bronco Aluminum Tailgate Cover provides a clean, durable replacement while creating a large, smooth surface across the inside of the tailgate.
We CNC laser cut each cover from 1/8-inch 5052 aluminum for a precise fit and lightweight, corrosion-resistant construction. At approximately 56.5 inches wide by 18.5 inches tall, the panel covers the majority of the factory tailgate opening.
However, we intentionally keep the cover small enough to remain removable for access to the rear window motor and internal tailgate components. As a result, you can still service the rear window system if the glass will not roll down.
Installation uses the supplied Rivnuts and stainless steel button-head Allen bolts. Once the Rivnuts are installed, the cover can easily be unbolted whenever you need access behind it.
The aluminum is supplied in its natural unfinished condition. Because 5052 aluminum is a raw material, minor cosmetic scratches or surface imperfections may be present.
Whether you’re replacing a missing factory access panel or simply want a cleaner and more functional tailgate surface, this cover provides a simple upgrade for your full-size Bronco.
