After decades of use, the plastic mounting tabs behind the dash bezel on OBS Ford trucks can become brittle and break. Once these tabs fail, the factory switch can get pushed behind the dash instead of staying securely mounted in the bezel.
Solo Motorsports designed and introduced the original Ford Rear Window & Dual Fuel Tank Switch Repair Bracket as a purpose-built solution for this common problem.
The same repair bracket works with two factory switch applications:
- Ford Bronco – Repairs the mounting location for the factory rear window up/down switch.
- Ford F-Series – Repairs the mounting location for the factory dual fuel tank selector switch.
Instead of replacing the entire dash bezel because of broken plastic mounting tabs, our repair bracket creates a strong new steel mounting point behind the original bezel.
The bracket utilizes the factory headlight switch mounting holes to properly locate the rear window or fuel tank switch. As a result, installation requires no welding or major modifications to the dash.
Each bracket is stamped from 16-gauge steel for a precise fit and zinc coated for corrosion protection. Once installed, the original switch mounts securely to the new steel bracket using the supplied hardware.

Installation
- Remove the factory dash bezel and locate the factory headlight switch.
- Mount the Solo Motorsports repair bracket using the factory mounting holes.
- Secure the existing rear window or dual fuel tank switch to the new steel bracket using the supplied hardware.
