Take Control of TTB Bumpsteer
The Ford TTB suspension is capable of impressive wheel travel, but once you start increasing suspension travel and pushing the truck harder off-road, the factory steering geometry becomes one of the biggest limitations.
Our 1980–1996 Ford Bronco & F-150 Single-Swing Steering Kit was developed to minimize the bumpsteer associated with TTB suspension while providing the strength and durability required for serious off-road and prerunner use.
Years of racing, testing, and building long-travel Ford TTB suspension went into developing this steering system.
Instead of relying on the factory steering linkage, our Single-Swing Steering uses a purpose-built swinger, custom pitman arm, frame mount, heavy-duty steering links, and heim joints to better control steering movement throughout suspension travel.
Built for Hard Off-Road Use
The frame mount, custom pitman arm, and steering swinger are constructed from 4130 chromoly plate for strength in the areas that see the highest steering loads.
We also pay attention to the hardware.
The Grade 8 pivot bolts are properly shanked so the steering components ride on the smooth, full-diameter portion of the bolt rather than the threads. This provides the proper bearing surface and helps prevent mounting holes from ovaling out over time.
Ready for Ram Assist
Our Single-Swing Steering is already tabbed for a 4.5″ Howe hydraulic ram assist.
Adding ram assist reduces the load placed on the steering gearbox while also reducing steering-wheel feedback when larger tires encounter rocks, ruts, and other obstacles.
For a complete hydraulic steering system, the Single-Swing Steering can be paired with our ported steering gearbox, upgraded power steering pump, Howe reservoir, external cooler, and ram-assist components.
