Built for the Ford HD Tie Rod Conversion
When converting a 1980–1996 Ford Bronco or F-150 to the HD Tie Rod Conversion, also commonly known as the ambulance steering upgrade, the factory-style steering adjusters don’t provide the amount of thread engagement we want in a heavy-duty steering system.
That’s why we designed our HD Billet Steering Adjusters specifically for trucks that have already been converted to the larger HD tie rod and drag/center link setup.
Our adjusters are machined 1″ longer to provide increased thread engagement between the adjusters and the HD steering linkage. More thread engagement creates a stronger connection in a steering system that can see substantial loads from larger tires, off-road driving, and increased suspension travel.
CNC-Machined 7075 Aluminum
Each adjuster is CNC machined from 7075 aluminum, a high-strength aluminum alloy with excellent strength, toughness, and fatigue resistance.
We pair the billet adjusters with 416 stainless steel jam nuts for corrosion resistance and excellent anti-galling properties. The kit includes both right-hand and left-hand thread jam nuts for the driver- and passenger-side adjusters.
These adjusters are designed to complement the strength of the HD steering conversion instead of leaving factory-style adjusters as a weak point in an otherwise upgraded steering system.
Important Compatibility
These billet adjusters are ONLY designed for the Ford HD Tie Rod Conversion / Ambulance Steering Upgrade.
They will NOT work with factory Bronco or F-150 tie rods and drag links.
If your truck still has the factory steering linkage, you will need to convert to the HD steering system before installing these adjusters.
