Fix Your Loose or Falling OBS Ford Ashtray
After decades of use, the factory plastic ashtray guides in OBS Ford trucks can become brittle, crack, and eventually break apart. Once the guides fail, the ashtray may sit crooked, become difficult to open and close, or fall completely out of the dash.
Our 1992–1997 Ford Ashtray Guides replace the broken factory plastic guides and restore proper support and movement to the original ashtray.
Ford used two different ashtray guide designs during the production of these trucks. Early-style assemblies used riveted-in guides, while later-style assemblies used clip-in guides. We have not found a definitive factory production date for the changeover, so we recommend checking your original ashtray assembly before ordering.
Choose Your Factory Style
Clip-In Style – Later Design
- Factory guides clip directly into the ashtray housing.
- Look for a square mounting hole where the original guide attaches.
- Select “Clip-In” when ordering.
Riveted-In Style – Early Design
- Factory guides are permanently riveted to the ashtray housing.
- The original rivets must be removed during installation.
- Our replacement guides convert the factory riveted setup to a bolt-on design.
- Select “Riveted-In” when ordering.
Important: Do not determine your ashtray guide style by model year alone. Visually inspect how the original guides attach before ordering.
Each guide is professionally 3D printed from Black Nylon 12 for a durable replacement designed to restore the function of your factory ashtray.
Each kit includes both the left- and right-side ashtray guides.
