Description
The Ford Bronco Gas Tank Skid Plate is designed to keep your stock gas tank from getting smashed during hard off-road driving. Drag it over rocks or throw your floor jack right under the center and lift your Bronco!
We have built this strong Skid Plate Cradle using 1.25” x .120 wall DOM tubing, 3/16” frame mounts, and are finishing it off with a 3/16” aluminum skid plate to keep rocks and branches from getting through the tubes. The tubing closely follows the bottom of the gas tank for minimal ground clearance loss. Small amount of ground clearance lost, but is a small factor compared to the strength gained.
We’ve incorporated an “X” into the bottom portion for added strength. Installation is made easy by locating to factory frame holes. All necessary Grade 8 hardware is included.
