Description
Our Portable Vise Stand Kit is available in different options. The stand will mount on most Semi-Truck “drive wheel” brake drums. This stand gives you the ability to move it anywhere, while still being heavy enough to not move around while operating the vise. It brakes down into three separate parts which make it easy to transport.
The Top Plate Base is 11″x11″x1/4″ thick”, which is big enough to mount most vises. The plate does not come pre-drilled for a vise.
The Vise Stand Kit does not come with the diesel brake drum. The brake drums are found at local Semi-Truck Mechanic shops or Semi-Truck Parts Shops. The Semi-Truck “Drive Wheel” Brake Drum is the correct drum for our product. Most mechanic shops throw these used brake drums into their scrap bin.
The Tall Tube can be purchased at your local steel yard to save on overall cost. We use 26″ long, 3″ Schedule 40 pipe or any thick wall 3.5″ OD tubing should work.
Vise Stand Options
- Option A: Full Kit comes with Top and Bottom Base Plate, Tall Tube, Caster Bracket, and all hardware.
- Option B: Comes with Top and Bottom Plate, Caster Bracket, and all hardware. (No Tall Tube)
- Option C: Top and Bottom Base Plate and all hardware. (No Caster Bracket or Tall Tube)
- Option D: Top and Bottom Base Plate, Tall Tube, and hardware. (No Caster Bracket)
