If you’re a proud owner of a Ford Bronco manufactured between 1987 and 1996, you understand the importance of a fully operational spare tire carrier. Over time wear and tear can degrade its performance therefore leaving you with a less-than-ideal situation. Our rebuild kit is designed to restore your spare tire carrier with a set of premium components.
This kit features everything you need to restore your spare tire carrier to its former glory. Included are new grade 10.9 bolts and custom self-lubricating bronze bushings, ensuring unparalleled strength and longevity for your carrier’s pivot points. The custom self-lubricating bronze bushings are machined for a perfect fit. They take up the slack in the mount and have a wider diameter hat to help spread the load of the tire.
The rubber bump stop guarantees a controlled and secure fit, preventing unwanted rattling. Effortless opening and closing of your spare tire carrier with the stainless steel striker bushing and new striker bolt. These components eliminate friction and ensure a seamless operation every time. The kit also contains new grade 8.8 mounting bolts, guaranteeing a steadfast attachment to your vehicle.
This kit has two options available. The Full Kit, comes with new Grade 10.8 bolts shanked for the tire swing pivots, and self-lubricating brass bushings machined for precise fitment. New Rubber Bump Stop, Stainless Steel Striker bushing with Striker bolt, and new bolts to mount to the tailgate. New Heavy Duty Tire Release Connecting Rod with heim joints.
The Pivot Rebuild Kit comes with new Grade 10.8 bolts shanked for the tire swing pivots, and self-lubricating brass bushings machined for precise fitment.
Please Note, If you are using our old style Spare Tire Carrier Swing Stop you will need to exchange with our new style or modify your current one to clear the nut for the tire swing hinge. Please contact for more information.
